Activities

You will be working for a major European space company. As part of the Configuration Management team you will directly support the Systems Engineer of the project. You will be especially responsible for the following activities:

• Configuration control of documents
  • Identification and documentation of functional and physical characteristics of products
  • Definition of configuration baselines regarding functional requirements, evolutionary verification and production realisation
• Support and maintenance of a change management system
• Development of technical lists like status lists, clearances lists, changes lists, document lists and configuration item data lists
• Support to configuration management of suppliers concerning quality standards
• Advancement of existing procedures, methods and systems

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• Degree in industrial engineering, aerospace engineering or any other relevant discipline/experience in configuration management
• Knowledge of configuration management processes according to ESA standards (ECSS-M-40B)
• Any certifications in configuration management would be advantageous
• Skills in process analysis and optimisation
• Computer literacy in MS office software (Word, Access, Excel) and SAP R/3
• Fluency in German and English language are mandatory
