As support to a European space company we are looking for a Operations Engineer of Flight Operations for Manned Space Systems

Activities

Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the areas of space transportation and satellites. You will be working on-site in the competence centre for operations, responsible for the following activities:

• Definition of concepts and requirements
• Detailed design of operations concepts, scenarios and plans for current and future manned space crafts with respect to flight and ground operations.
• Implementation of feasibility studies, support to proposal preparation
• Performance of system analyses and development of detailed operations and data requirements for the different mission phases.
• Preparation of flight operations
• Definition and development of operations products for flight operations:
  • Operations Data File procedures for flight crew and flight controllers
  • Operations data, such as Telemetry Data Packets, Monitoring Tables,
• Caution & Warning Data, Data Sheets
  • In-Flight Displays for systems monitoring and control
  • Manuals and hand books
• Test and verification of these products such as desktop reviews or verifications using dedicated facilities like the Columbus Electric Test Model
• Preparation of and support to mission integration and qualification activities
• Definition of operations processes and procedures, detailing of interfaces between the different teams and documentation of process flows in so-called Operations Interface Procedures

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• Master in an engineering discipline or equivalent education/experience
• Experience in working in an international team
• Willingness to adapt to new methods and tools
• Fluency in English is mandatory
