As support to a European space company we are looking for a Payload Integration Manager

Activities

Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the areas of space transportation and satellites. You will be working on-site in the area of Payload Integration and will be fully responsible for the management of the integration and operation of Class2 Payloads and experiments:

• Technical management, coordination and control of a team of engineers responsible for the preparation and execution of the integration and operations activities
• Coordination of the Class2 Payload activities with the Class1 Payload Engineering
• Managers of the Industrial Operator Team (IOT) contract
• Coordination of the USOC activities with respect to payload preparation, accommodation and test activities
• Perform regular reporting on the progress and prepare reviews and coordination meetings for the client ESA
• Perform project control and scheduling
• Perform risk management

Skills

You  ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• Master in an engineering discipline or equivalent education/experience
• Experience in working in an international team
• Experience in project management preferably in the area of payload development for the ISS
• Experiences in payload operations would be welcome
• Good knowledge about the technical and political environment of ISS Utilisation would be welcome
• Willingness to adapt to new methods and tools
• Fluency in English is mandatory, German is an asset.
