Activities

Our customer is one of the leading providers of opto-electronic instruments and systems for aerospace and security applications. You will be working on-site for a company that has an excellent international reputation in the fields of opto-electronic instruments and systems, software as well as guidance, navigation and control sensors. In your role as Development Engineer in the Optics area, you will be responsible for the
following activities:

• Concept development for optic instruments as well as for adjustment and tests of optic instruments
• Inspection of innovative technology fields concerning their benefit for optic instruments
• Optic design of complex instruments
• Support to the development of specifications
• Support to the creation of development and production documentation
• Use of optic design software (ZEMAX)
• Technical and commercial coordination with external optic manufacturers
• If necessary, project or sub-project leading

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree in Physics with focus on optics, PhD will be highly appreciated
• Several years of professional experience in optic development, especially in optic design
• Knowledge in technical optics, knowledge in physical/wave optics is an asset
• Very good communication skills, flexibility in handling different customer requirements
• Commitment, ability to work autonomously, customer orientation
• Fluency in English language is mandatory, German is highly advantageous
