Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working on-site as a member of the Multi-Mission System team. Tasks will include:

• Ground segment requirements analysis, architectural design, integration, verification and validation,
• Multi-mission network requirements definition, implementation, integration, verification and validation,
• Support the overall GMES Sentinel Ground Segment integration and commissioning,
• Support secure network operation, extension and enhancement.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree or equivalent in electronics, communications or engineering
• At least 5 years professional experience in data network design and operation
• Current CISCO certification or equivalent
• High availability 24/7 operations
• Network protocols and routing
• Network and system monitoring tools HP OpenView, Cisco Works, Tivoli, RMON
• Protocol analysers, bit error rate testers, network analysis tools
• Satellite communications links DVB, VSAT
• Familiarity with Solaris, Linux, AIX and Windows operating systems
• Fluency in English is mandatory, some knowledge of French would be an asset.
