As support to a European space company we are looking for a RAMS Engineer
Activities
Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated satellite projects. You will be working on-site in the RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety) and FDIR (Failure Detection Isolation & Recovery) area. Your objective will be to support design and to asses that the products are dependable and safe as required according to internal and external standards. You will be responsible for the following activities:
RAMS-FDIR Management:
- Interface with the customer regarding RAMS & FDIR engineering
- Ensure the compliance with the specified RAMS requirements.
RAMS & FDIR Engineering:
- Identify RAMS specifications, derive design impacts, list potential failure events
- Support the design definition and specify the RAMS requirements
- Support the Validation & Verification of the design
- Support SW and operation engineering
RAMS & FDIR Analysis:
- Prepare and execute RAMS-FDIR analysis
- Perform Safety Assessments, Contingency Analysis, Parts Stress Analysis and Worst Case Analysis
Skills
You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:
- Degree in Engineering, e.g. Aerospace Engineering
- Profound professional experience that led to knowledge and practical experience in the following domains:
- Dependability/Safety engineering, processes, methods and tools as well as standards (ECSS-Q-30, ECSS-Q-40, ...).
- Space engineering related technical disciplines (Electrical, Thermal, Mechanical, Operations, Software).
- Space systems, subsystems and Equipments development.
- Quality management, probability theory and statistics knowledge.
- You are autonomous, organised, result oriented, proactive and flexible
- Fluency in English and German language is mandatory.
Starting date: February 2010 or as soon as possible thereafter
