As support to a European space company we are looking for a Supply Quality Manager

Activities

Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the areas of space transportation and satellites. You will be working on-site as a Supply Quality Manager for procurement of electrical and AOCS equipment. This involves the following activities:

• Implementation of product assurance (PA) requirements at subcontractor level
• Organization and conductance of PA reviews
• Support of project and technical reviews about quality aspects
• Management of non-conformances
• Monitoring and control of equipment configuration and related documentation
• Support of supplier evaluation process
• Regular reporting to project team and Prime PA organization as well as to Supply quality management
• Inspection of qualification and flight hardware

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• Degree in Electronic/Electrical engineering or Physics
• Professional experience in quality management and profound knowledge of ECCS standards, qualification rules, space environment and constraints
• Expertise in the technical domain of electronics and AOCS equipment
• Proven record of working on ESA projects considered preferable
• Management skills for implementation of quality system requirements and surveillance of subcontractors, as well as Non Conformance management
• Excellent communication skills, well skilled in working with multi-disciplinary teams, capability to work autonomously and to manage multiple tasks and interfaces
• Fluency in English language is mandatory; German is advantageous.

Starting date: February 2010 or as soon as possible thereafter
