Activities

Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the areas of space systems and security applications. You will be working on-site as Product Assurance Engineer for the prestigious Galileo project, responsible for the following activities:

• Product Assurance planning for proposal, development, production and operation phases
• Control the following disciplines: safety, reliability, components, materials and processes, hardware and software product assurance according to customer requirements
• Development of qualification strategies for components, parts and processes
• Configuration and verification control, change and non-conformance management
• Negotiation with subcontractors
• Representation of product assurance issues in projects and towards the customers

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree in aerospace engineering, physics or any other relevant degree
• Several years of experience in product assurance activities for space, ideally in DLR or ESA programmes
• Knowledge of ESA/ECSS standards
• Ability to reach decisions and represent them internally and externally
• You are a confident negotiator and are able to lead teams
• Fluency in English language is mandatory; German is advantageous
