Activities

Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the areas of space systems and security applications. You will be working on-site for the prestigious Galileo project. By working in multi-discipline project teams, you will enjoy a high degree of scope for creativity, independence and self-initiative. In your role as Systems Engineer you will be responsible for the following activities:

• Design, analysis and layout of power systems for satellite applications (including solar generators, batteries and control units)
• Evaluation of layout concepts and selection of subsystems
• Support the interfaces to other satellite subsystems
• Development and maintenance of documentation (analyses, specifications, test procedures, reports and design descriptions)
• Development of test concepts and support of their implementation
• Trade-off with customers and subcontractors
• Participation in project reviews
• Subcontractor selection and support
• Proposal support

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree in electrical engineering or any other relevant qualification
• Several years of professional engineering experience in hardware projects in the phases B/C/D, ideally in the area of Electrical Power Systems (EPS).
• Knowledge in satellite power supply
• Very good skills in CAE development tools
• You are communicative and able to work efficiently in a big project team
• High flexibility and customer orientation
• You are fluent in English language; German is advantageous.

Starting date: March/April 2010 or as soon as possible thereafter
