Do you want to be part of the space future? As support to a European space company we are looking for an Satellite Payload Engineer
Activities
Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the areas of space systems and security applications. By working in multi-discipline project teams, you will enjoy a high degree of scope for creativity, independence and self-initiative. In your role as Satellite Payload Engineer you will support the prestigious Galileo project on-site at our customer - a German system provider for numerous national and international projects. You will be responsible for the following activities:
- System support of the on-board payload for the Galileo satellite
- Definition of software and command interfaces between platform and payload
- Close cooperation with subcontractors
- Support to test and system integration of satellite and ground station
Skills
You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:
- University degree in aerospace engineering or any other relevant qualification
- Experience in the field of satellite/payload operations and in satellite navigation (GNSS) would be advantageous
- You are able to work efficiently in a big project team
- High flexibility and customer orientation
- You are fluent in English language; German is advantageous.
Starting date: March/April 2010 or as soon as possible thereafter
