Do you want to be part of the space future? As support to a European space company we are looking for a Satellite Propulsion Engineer
Activities
Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the areas of space systems and security applications. You will be working on-site for the prestigious Galileo project as a Propulsion Engineer, responsible for the following activities:
- Layout, analysis and construction of propulsion systems for satellite applications
- Specification and procurement of the components for propulsion systems (engine, tanks, pressure control unit, valves, etc.)
- Support to satellite projects concerning accommodation, integration, test and operation of propulsion systems from proposal to operations phase
- Layout of the interfaces to satellite structure, thermal system, electronics and software
- Selection and support of suppliers and sub-contractors
Skills
You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:
- University degree in Aerospace Engineering, Control Engineering, Physics or similar
- Several years of professional experience in the space business
- Knowledge/experience in satellites techniques as well as propulsion systems, attitude control, orbit analysis
- Experience in mission analysis tools, ideally STK, is advantageous.
- You are able to work in a big international project team, communicative, flexible and can work independently
- Fluency in English language is mandatory, German is highly advantageous.
Starting date: March/April 2010 or as soon as possible thereafter
