Do you want to be part of the space future? As support to a European space company we are looking for an Space Engineer for Thermal Analysis

Activities

Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the areas of space systems and security applications. You will be working on-site for the prestigious Galileo project. By working in multi-discipline project teams, you will enjoy a high degree of scope for creativity, independence and self-initiative. Being part of the thermal team you will be carrying out thermal analysis and verification. This involves the following activities:

  • Design and analysis of thermal control systems for space applications
  • Development and maintenance of documentation like specifications, analysis reports as well as test procedures and test reports
  • Support, coordination and control of subcontractors
  • Development of thermal technologies and components
  • Presentation of results to the customer

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

  • University degree in aerospace engineering or any other relevant qualification
  • Several years of experience in thermal design and verification for satellites
  • Experience in using finite difference analysis methods, ideally ESATAN-TMS
  • Knowledge in hardware projects in the phases B/C/D
  • Experience in Assembly, Integration and Test would be an asset
  • You are communicative and able to work efficiently in a big project team
  • High flexibility and customer orientation
  • You are fluent in English language; German is advantageous.

Starting date: March/April 2010 or as soon as possible thereafter
