Do you want to be part of the space future? As support to a European space company we are looking for a Radiation Specialist for Space
Activities
Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the areas of space systems and security applications. You will be working on-site as a Radiation Engineer, responsible for the following activities:
- Evaluation of electrical circuits concerning their liability to radiation expositions; development of avoidance strategies for single event phenomena like “destructive events SEE, SEL” or “non-destructive events SEU, SET” and MBU
- Evaluate the qualification of components for space applications based on radiation analyses and supplier data
- Selection of appropriate test facilities; planning, support, documentation of tests
- Development of risk analyses, risk control and verifications concerning radiation for the project management
- Support to manned and non-manned space projects
Skills
You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:
- University degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Production Technology
- Several years of professional experience in development and evaluation of radiation analyses for electronic components
- Experience in the planning and support of radiation tests like total dose simulation tests, heavy ion tests or electronic tests
- Knowledge of analysis tools like OMERA or PROFIT is beneficial
- Ability to work in an international team, good communication skills
- Fluency in English language is mandatory; German is advantageous.
Starting date: March 2010 or as soon as possible thereafter
