Activities

Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the area of satellites. You will be working on-site as a Structural Subsystem Engineer for a geostationary satellite programme and will report directly to the project mechanics technical responsible. This includes the following activities:

• Structural subsystem engineering of a geostationary satellite project
• In charge of the definition and development of the structural subsystem including definition of the verification philosophy on subsystem level and specification of test requirements
• Coordination with system level via the mechanics person in charge of the project
• Responsibility for the management of subcontractors and hardware suppliers
• Overall responsibility for all structure related project activities, ensuring technical quality as well as schedule and budget compliance on subsystem level
• Lead a group of structure project engineers

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree in engineering, physics or a comparable qualification
• You have several years of professional experience in space industry or in space projects as structure subsystem engineer, structure project engineer or similar. AIT project experience would be of advantage.
• Ideally, you have already worked on DLR or ESA optical satellite development projects
• Fluency in English language is mandatory; German is advantageous
