Do you want to be part of the space future? As support to a European space company we are looking for a Assembly, Integration and Test Engineer for Satellites
Activities
Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the area of satellites. You will be working on-site as an Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) Engineer for a geostationary satellite programme and will report directly to the project technical responsible. This includes the following activities:
- Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) responsibility for development and integration of a geostationary satellite.
- Define and coordinate all AIT project activities in close cooperation with a central AIT department
- In charge of the generation and maintenance of a detailed test documentation including test plans, test procedures and test reports based on the test requirements defined by project system and subsystem engineers
- Coordinate the overall AIT process for development and flight models of a project, both on subsystem and system level
- Responsible for the development of the mechanical and electrical ground support equipment according to project requirements
- Lead a group of payload engineers
Skills
You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:
- University degree in engineering, physics or a comparable qualification
- You have several years of professional experience as AIT Engineer, AIT
- Responsible or in a similar position.
- Ideally, you have already worked on DLR or ESA optical satellite development projects
- Fluency in English language is mandatory; German is advantageous
Starting date: June/July 2010 or as soon as possible thereafter
