Activities

Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the areas of satellite and space systems. You will be working on-site as a Technical Procurement Officer, responsible for the procurement of components, parts and services in the area of calibration and metrology. This includes the following activities:

• Analysis of the national and international procurement markets
• Selection, assessment and development of suppliers with regards to quality, cost and target dates
• Processing and monitoring of orders
• Contract design and handling of the commercial contract negotiations for the technical departments with regards to the clients’ terms of contract
• Monitoring of the suppliers’ reliability and composition/introduction of relevant measures in case of discrepancies
• Collaboration in the development of procurement/supply strategies, on-site as well as for transnational and cross-location projects

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree in Industrial Engineering or a completed apprenticeship in the commercial/technical sector
• Several years of professional experience in procurement
• Experience with contract law
• Proficiency in using MS-Office and SAP R/3
• Fluency in German and English language is mandatory; French is advantageous.
