Do you want to be part of the space future? As support to a European space company we are looking for a Avionic Test Engineer of the Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV)

Activities

Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects and a prime contractor for the Automated Transfer Vehicle, an unmanned spacecraft which can supply the International Space Station e.g. with air, water or payloads. You will mainly be involved in the operation phases (phase E) for the next ATVs. Within the Electronic Avionics Bay of the ATV you will be working in the area of Radio Frequency and Telemetry & Telecommand. You will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Checking acceptance data packages
  • Administrating problem reports in the database, develop non conformance reports
  • Participating in technical and programmatic meetings
  • Maintaining existing specifications and test documents (equipment specifications, test plans, procedures etc.)
  • Preparing, carrying out, evaluating/analyzing electrical and functional tests in the area of ATV communication avionics
  • Developing corresponding test reports for the ATV communication avionics for the technical acceptance
  • Developing calibrating parameters for a test database
  • Acting as an interface to system, test, project management, quality assurance etc.
  • ATV mission support in the ATV control center in Toulouse

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering with major in Telecommunication Engineering or other relevant focus
  • Experience in engineering, design and development of RF and communication equipments
  • Space experience is advantageous
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, German/French will be an advantage
