Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working on-site as a member of the Enterprise Data and Applications team. Tasks will include:

• Application software development, maintenance and support of Web based systems
• Support client-server based COTS systems
• Maintain stand-alone VB and MS-Access based applications
• Provide second level support for existing applications
• Development of applications based upon Java/EE and using Oracle’s Stellent CMS.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree or equivalent in computer science or software engineering
• Extensive professional experience in the development of applications using JEE and Oracle databases
• Design, implementation, integration and testing of VB 6 and MS SQL
• Knowledge of JSF, JSP, Servlets and JPA/Hibernate and Windows XP
• Formal documentation in a project environment based in ISO 9000 standards
• SOAP, LDAP, SMTP, Oracle’s Stellent CMS, Oracle/MS SQL administration
• Knowledge of ITIL based service desk tool FrontRange ITSM
• XML, (X)HTML, CSS, JavaScript, OpenTect Hummingbird DM API, UML
• Fluency in English is mandatory; some knowledge of French would be an asset.
