Activities

Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the areas of space systems and security applications. You will be working on-site as Project Manager on prestigious national and international satellite programmes. Your responsibility includes the following activities:

• Project manager for system development and integration of a satellite
• You will be the direct contact person for international customers (DLR, ESA, commercial satellite operators) and will report to the company management
• In your role you will assure the project objectives as defined in customer requirements and allocate the resources needed for a successful project implementation
• This includes responsibility for project quality, time management and cost control of a challenging project

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree in Engineering, Physics or a comparable qualification
• Profound professional experience as a project manager for space, ideally for satellite projects
• Experience in DLR and ESA programs in the area of satellite system development
• You can lead a team, work independently, make decisions and possess a strong technical background
• You have excellent negotiation skills and communicate very professionally
• Furthermore, you possess conceptual and analytical skills
• Good knowledge of process management/analysis
• Fluency in English language is mandatory; other foreign languages are advantageous.

Starting date: July/August 2010 or as soon as possible thereafter
