Do you want to be part of the space future? As support to the European Space Agency we are looking for an ATV Operations Engineer
Activities
As ATV Operations Engineer you will be supporting the ESA team in Toulouse and reporting directly to the Head of the ATV Operations Section. You will be responsible for supporting the production, validation and maintenance of the different operations products required for ATV mission. The position is integrated into the ESACARGO team, which covers Cargo analytical and physical integration, ECLS activities and cargo transfer operations (dry cargo, water, gas and waste) during the ATV attached phase. Your specific duties include amongst others:
- Monitoring Environmental Control and Life Support systems (ECLS) during high activity periods (e.g. pressure equalization, crew ingress)
- Monitoring water and gas transfer
- Provide IVA support to activities inside the ICC during the attached phase
- Various operational and cargo reviews
- Ensuring readiness and acceptance of related operational products
- Validation tests in ATV-CC
- The position will comprise interaction with International Partners, ESACARGO related ODF and OIP validation.
Skills
You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:
- University degree in engineering, physics or other relevant degree
- Several years of professional experience in spacecraft operations, ideally for ATV
- Experience with operations procedures and products
- Ability to work independently and in a multi-cultural environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English is mandatory; French is advantageous.
