Do you want to be part of the space future? As support to a European space organisation we are looking for a Software Engineer for EO-LEO Facilities Quality Control and Calibration / Validation
Activities
Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working on-site as a member of the Data Processing Systems Engineering team. Tasks will include:
- Maintenance and development of software applications EO product quality control, calibration and validation,
- Configuration management, build and distribution of software releases and patches,
- Software design and re-engineering,
- Development of software tools,
- Anomaly investigation, documentation and follow-up,
- Analysis of maintenance requirements, implementation of policies and procedures.
Skills
You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:
- University degree in Computing, Software Engineering or a related subject
- At least 3 years experience in the maintenance of UNIX based software systems,
- Meteorological satellite data processing systems,
- Maintaining software systems in C, C++, FORTRAN under LINUX / AIX,
- Build environments (e.g. make, imake, debuggers, insure++),
- Source code control (Subversion or CVS) and configuration management,
- Oracle, Informix, IDL, ENVI, Python, Perl, Tcl/Tk,
- Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in French would be an asset.
