Do you want to be part of the space future? As support to a European space company we are looking for a Spacecraft Test Engineer for the Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV)
Activities
The International Space Station (ISS) depends on regular deliveries of experiment equipment and spare parts, as well as food, air and water for its permanent crew. Since the beginning of 2008, the Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) is one of the indispensable ISS supply spaceships. In your role as Test Engineer for this project you will work at different locations throughout Europe and South America and be responsible for the following activities:
- Support for electrical, electronic and avionics tests of ATV at the European Space Agency/Netherlands
- Support to final integration and test of ATV at the launch site in Kourou/French Guiana
- Preparation of test specifications and procedures
- Preparation of test protocols and reports
- Participation in meetings and reviews
Skills
You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:
- University degree in physics, telecommunications, electronics or another relevant discipline together with experience in launcher systems electronics
- Basic experience should include:
- Electrical tests
- Verification of specification
- Assembly, integration and test of space hardware
- Fluency in German, English and French is mandatory
