Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing satellite operations and ground station tracking network services to its users. You will be working on-site as a member of the Engineering Team. Tasks will include the provision of engineering support for:

• Space debris issues within the ESA Space Situational Awareness programme
• Space debris information services requirements capture and system definition
• Space debris monitoring system requirements and system architecture
• Identification of existing assets and procurement of monitoring services
• Specification and procurement of monitoring and information assets.

Skills

You should ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree or equivalent in aerospace engineering or related subject
• Expert knowledge in space debris monitoring and tracking techniques
• Instrumentation for space debris monitoring
• Characterisation of space debris, trajectory analysis and collision avoidance
• Systems engineering for space debris information service provision
• User requirements capture for space debris information systems
• Knowledge of ECSS and CCSDS standards
• Able to work independently and good communication skills
• Fluency in English is mandatory, some knowledge of French or German an asset.
