Do you want to be part of the space future? As support to a European space organisation we are looking for a Configuration Management Consultant

Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working on-site as a member of the Operations Configuration Management team. Tasks will include:

• Tracking of configuration items, including hardware, software and documentation,
• Administer and track engineering change proposals and engineering tasks,
• Prepare and present release and environment baselines,
• Support change review board meetings,
• Produce and update CM tool procedures, provide first level CM Tool support,
• Perform configuration audits, configuration status accounting reports
• Track non conformances, produce reports and support anomaly review boards.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree or equivalent in computer science or engineering,
• At least 5 years experience in Configuration Management of operational software,
• CM Tools Dimensions or Clearcase, source code control CVS or Subversion,
• UNIX, Oracle or Sybase, SQL, scripting languages, software development processes,
• Software development in Java, C++, build and installation processes,
• Configuration Management standards such as CMMI, ISO or ESA ECSS,
• Very good communication and team working skills,
• Able to work calmly under stress with the minimum of supervision,
• Fluency in English is mandatory, some knowledge of French would be an asset.
