Do you want to be part of the space future? As support to a European space organisation we are looking for a LEO Data & Product Processing SW Engineer
Activities
Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working on-site as a member of the Operations Department - Maintenance and Engineering Team. Tasks will include:
- Development and maintenance of low earth orbiting satellite data processing SW,
- Support the installation, configuration and testing of externally developed software,
- Contribute towards the building and distribution of software releases,
- Perform system integration and validation activities, identify and correct anomalies,
- Provide on-call support to the operational systems.
Skills
You ideally have the following qualifications and significant professional experience:
- University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline,
- At least three years professional experience in UNIX application development and support,
- Meteorological satellite data product processing,
- Quality control/calibration and validation of meteorological satellite data products,
- Large, operational, real-time data processing systems,
- UNIX (LINUX & AIX), C, C++, Java and FORTRAN,
- Configuration control with Subversion or CVS,
- Build environments make, imake, debuggers, insure++,
- XML, XPATH, SVG,
- Design and implementation of MMI using different toolkits and languages,
- Fluency in English is mandatory, some knowledge of French would be an asset.
