As support to the European Space Operations Centre we are looking for an Analysis Centre Coordinator

Activities

Our customer conducts mission operations for ESA satellites and establishes, operates and maintains the necessary ground segment infrastructure. You will be working on- site as Analysis Centre Coordinator in the Navigation Systems Domain, responsible for the following activities:

• Coordination of:
  • Operation of the automated Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) processing schemes run in the framework of International GNSS Service (IGS) and other international collaboration activities
  • Occasional GNSS re-processing campaigns (re-processing historic data with the latest models and standards)
  • Operation of high-precision orbit determination (POD) for Earth Observation satellites in Low Earth Orbiting (LEO), in the frame of international collaboration activities, and in close coordination with the projects involved
• Operation of the above systems as part of the operations team
• Close interaction with international services (IGS, ILRS, IDS)
  • Coordination of collaboration activities
  • Support to definition / improvements of standards
• Support to all ESA and 3rd party projects run in the Ground Systems Engineering Department (OPS-GN)

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree or equivalent qualification in mathematics, physics, informatics, computer science, space or any other relevant domain
• Several years of professional experience in the above mentioned activities
• Ideally, you possess a broad technical background in the following areas:
  • GNSS system and receiver knowledge, GNSS receiver network management and GNSS data processing techniques
  • Precise Orbit Determination and Low Earth Orbiting
• Ideally, an understanding of relevant standards, including ECSS and CCSDS
• Effective communication skills gained in a multinational and -cultural environment
• Fluency in English language is mandatory
