Do you want to be part of the space future? As support to a European space company we are looking for a System Technical Responsible at Geostationary Satellite Program
Activities
Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the area of satellites. As System Technical Responsible for the Geostationary Satellite Programs you will report directly to the project technical responsible.
Your tasks will include:
- Acting as a lead system engineer of a project for development and integration of a geostationary satellite
- Coordination of all system level related technical activities of a geostationary satellite project like requirements tracking, design and performance, subsystem and payload interfaces, accommodation and configuration, budgets, verification planning, operations, satellite simulator and satellite database, etc.
- Leading a group of system engineers
Skills
You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:
- University degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics or any other relevant degree
- Several years of professional experience as a lead system engineer or in a similar position, preferably in the space industry
- Ideally, experience in working on DLR or ESA satellite development projects
- Good knowledge of process management/analysis
- Well-developed communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work well in a team and make decisions
- Excellent conceptual and analytical skills
- Fluency in English is mandatory; German is advantageous.
Starting date: November 2010 or as soon as possible thereafter
