Do you want to be part of the space future? As support to our customer, a European leader in technologically sophisticated projects in the areas of space systems and security applications, we are looking for an AIT Manager
Activities
You will be working on the customer’s site for a prestigious navigation satellite project. The assembly, integration and testing (AIT) of several satellites will be carried out in a series production line by a number of expert teams that are each responsible for one AIT phase.
In your role as AIT Manager you will act as our company’s direct interface with our customer’s AIT Manager and Systems Engineers. You will support our customer’s AIT manager in establishing the expert teams. Furthermore, you will be responsible for leading our company’s AIT team, including the following activities:
- Team establishment and organisation. This includes: ensuring the team members’ on-site presence, delivering technical training, ensuring their integration within the project team, organising replacement during absence;
- Supporting our customer’s AIT Lead in production planning (i.e. AIT schedule, coordinating the AIT engineering activities, allocating the resources needed, etc);
- Facilities preparation; ensuring technical quality and securing successful completion; evaluation of time schedules and quantity valuation;
- Setting up integration processes and requirements for test plans, test procedures and test software; test prediction preparation; organisation of overall-system test procedures.
Skills
You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:
- University degree in Aerospace Engineering, Space technology, Physics or any other relevant degree
- Several years of professional experience in space project management
- Team leading experience
- Profound knowledge and experience in satellite AIT
- Experience in series production would be an asset
- Communication and leadership skills
- Fluency in English language is mandatory; German is highly advantageous.
