Do you want to be part of the space future? As support to a European space organisation we are looking for a LEO Instrument Team Management Support Consultant

Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working on-site as a member of the LEO Division Team. Tasks will include supporting the LEO Division Management in:

  • Instrument and satellite reviews, Flight Acceptance Reviews, generation of RIDs;
  • Storage/de-storage activities, re-activation and recalibration campaigns;
  • Satellite commissioning, launch campaign preparation and LEOP activities;
  • Generation and maintenance of instrument related documents;
  • Control of the baseline definition of each instrument, evaluation of Change Requests, Change Proposals, Requests for Waiver / Deviation;
  • Maintain a database on instrument characteristics, performance and problems;
  • Critical analysis of instrument related schedules of satellite activities.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

  • University degree or equivalent in a related discipline;
  • Profound experience in space hardware projects;
  • Several years of experience in project management;
  • Earth observation remote sensing instruments;
  • Knowledge of QA processes and procedures;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Access);
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, some knowledge of French would be an asset.
