Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working on-site as a member of the Information Technology Service Support Group. Tasks will include:

• Design, validate, deploy and support desktop and laptop systems
• Distribution of software updates and patches using Novell Zenworks
• Operation and maintenance of hardware and software asset information
• Ensure that all systems have up to date antivirus and firewall protection
• Provide second and third-line user support
• Contribute towards the managed evolution of operating system and application Sw.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree or equivalent in IT, computer science or engineering
• Several years professional experience in IT System Engineering and Administration
• Extensive experience in using Novell Zenworks 10
• Deployment and administration of MS Office, Visio and Project
• Installation, administration and remote management of Windows XP desktops
• Antivirus and firewall systems e.g. Symantec Endpoint Protection
• MS Active Directory, MS SMS or Landesk, MS based system and services
• Microsoft System Configuration Manager to deploy Windows 7
• Familiarity with ISO 9000 and ITIL standards
• Fluency in English is mandatory, some knowledge of French would be an asset.
