Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing satellite operations and ground station tracking network services to its users. You will be working on-site as a member of the Operations Engineering Team. Tasks will include:

• Definition, implementation and maintenance of operational TT&C ground stations
• Implementation of operational requirements within ground stations
• Tailoring of ground station configuration to support mission requirements
• Supporting the deployment of new equipment and functions within the stations
• Ensuring that the station maintenance plan is executed and that the station is kept under configuration control
• Coordination with the on-site station Maintenance and Operation (M&O) team
• Some business travel may be required including extended periods of 2-3 weeks.

Skills

You should ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree or equivalent in engineering, physics or similar
• End-to-end TTC ground station systems for spacecraft operations
• TTC Antennas, RF front-end equipment, back-end systems, comms equipment, M&C systems, support systems and space to ground communications including RF
• Test procedures generation, test equipment and tools
• Knowledge of satellite ground systems at subsystem level
• Familiarity with operational environments for space missions
• Fluency in English is mandatory, some knowledge of French or German an asset.
