Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing satellite operations and ground station tracking network services to its users. You will be working on-site as a member of the Operations Engineering Team. Tasks will include:

• Mission specific design of the ground segment elements
• Validation of ground segment elements prior to critical operations
• Supporting critical operations phases, system performance monitoring
• Definition and validation of mission specific ground station configuration
• Definition of test environment, test-setup, procedures, execution of validation tests
• Occasional work outside normal working hours and business travel may be required
• Support for missions e.g. Metop-B, YingHou-1, Phobos-Grunt and launcher tracking.

Skills

You should ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree or equivalent in engineering, physics or similar
• End-to-end TTC ground station network systems for spacecraft operations
• Space to ground communications and RF
• Test procedures generation, test equipment and tools
• Knowledge of satellite ground systems at subsystem level
• Familiarity with operational environments for space missions
• Ability to understand and accurately predict behaviour of complex systems
• Fluency in English is mandatory, some knowledge of French or German an asset.
