As support to a European space company we are looking for an Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) Engineer
Activities
Our customer is a European leading system house, specialised in development and implementation of high technology solutions for aerospace, science and industry. You will be integrated in the Space AIT Department with the following activities and responsibilities:
- Carry out Assembly, Integration and Test on system level for scientific space projects
- Select and support subcontractors
- Develop necessary documentation (procedures, descriptions, reports)
- Carry out/support reviews, system integration and test documentation
- Support reporting to the client
Skills
You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:
- Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Optics or Opto-Electronics, Physics or similar technical areas
- Several years of experience in AIT for space projects, especially in phases C/D
- Experience in planning and carrying out verification tests on instrument and/or satellite level
- Knowledge about the European space test facilities (e.g. at ESTEC, ...) would be advantageous
- You are creative, motivated and result-oriented and can communicate effectively in multidisciplinary and international teams
- Fluency in English is mandatory; German would be an asset
Starting date: February 2011 or as soon as possible thereafter
