Do you want to be part of the space future? As support to a European space organisation we are looking for a Java EE, Development and COTS Integration Engineer

Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working on-site as a member of the Enterprise Data and Applications team. Tasks will include:

• Application software development, maintenance and support of Web based systems
• Specify, customize, integrate and support client-server based COTS systems
• Maintain, test and deliver PHP based applications
• Provide second level support for existing applications
• Development of applications based upon Java/EE and using Oracle’s UCMS.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree or equivalent in computer science or software engineering
• Several years of professional experience in the development of applications using JEE and Oracle databases
• Some years experience of JSF, JSP, Servlets and JPA/Hibernate
• Formal documentation in a project environment based in ISO 9000 standards
• SOAP, LDAP, SMTP, Oracle’s UCMS, Glassfish administration
• Knowledge of ITIL, change and configuration management principles
• XML, (X)HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Windows XP
• Fluency in English is mandatory, some knowledge of French would be an asset.
