As support to a European space company we are looking for a Procurement Officer

Activities

Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the areas of space transportation and satellites. You will be responsible for the whole procurement lifecycle. In your role you will be operating in close collaboration with technical departments and international business partners. Your tasks will include:

• Operative purchase order processing and supervision
• You will supervise the adherence to delivery dates and carry out counter measures for non-conformances
• Support the development of procurement and supplier strategies
• Select, evaluate and develop suppliers considering quality, cost and time targets
• Optimise the supplier basis by using corporate suppliers available across locations
• Reduce procurement costs by bundling the procurement volume in your area of responsibility
• Carry out commercial contract negotiations for the technical departments taking into account complex customer contract conditions
• Analyse national and international procurement markets

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree in industrial engineering or economic education with profound technical understanding and experience
• You have some years of professional experience in procurement
• Knowledge of MS Office; SAP-R3 would be an advantage
• Experience in contracts law would be an asset
• Aerospace experience would be advantageous but not mandatory
• You are autonomous, service-oriented, flexible and have an analytical approach
• Fluency in English and German languages is mandatory; French would be helpful.
