Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working on-site as a member of the Information and Communication Technology Section. Tasks will include:

• Provide first and second level user technical support via the ICT Service Desk;
• Install/configure/administer desktop/notebooks (HW, MS-Windows, Office, Visio);
• Support remote access devices (e.g. Blackberry, VPN);
• Interface with engineers responsible for the backend systems;
• Plan and perform roll-outs of new Software and support to upgrade/enhancements;
• Preparation of IT system information and Training Material.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• Customer focus / service orientation as well as highly effective interpersonal skills;
• Extensive knowledge of and experience in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of Win-XP, Windows 7, Office 2007, Visio, MS Project and IE;
• Mobile computing solutions (VPN access, Notebooks, Remote Access, Blackberry);
• User administration in MS Active Directory, Microsoft professional certification;
• Outlook configuration and administration, MS exchange;
• Hardware support (desktop PC, notebooks, network printers, scanners);
• Software distribution systems (e.g. Novell ZENworks, MS SMS);
• Familiarity with ISO 9000 and ITIL standards;
• Fluency in English is mandatory, some knowledge of German and French an asset.
