Do you want to be part of the space future? As support to a European space organisation we are looking for a Network Engineer for LEO Ground Segment

Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working on-site as a member of the LEO System Team. Tasks related to the LEO Ground Segment network will include:

• Requirements analysis and definition, architectural design, and implementation;
• Ensure seamless integration of the network with the ground segment applications;
• Integration of LEO ground segment networks within future network infrastructure;
• Analysis, planning and performance of network evolutions;
• Integration, Verification and Validation, (IV&V), of the network system upgrades;
• Support Ground Segment operations concepts definition;
• Write and review requirement specifications and design documentation.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and at least 5 years experience including:

• University degree or equivalent in a related discipline;
• Satellite ground segment network engineering, preferably in the area of EO;
• Planning of network engineering activities, coordination and technical guidance;
• Complex systems for near real-time satellite data processing and distribution;
• Standards used for space programmes and configuration control processes
• Cisco network equipments and architectures;
• Supporting 24/7 non-stop network operations;
• Working effectively in a large distributed team and working calmly under stress;
• Fluency in English is mandatory, some knowledge of French would be an asset.
