Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working on-site as a member of the Operations Preparation Integrated Team. Tasks will include:

• Support the Operations Preparation and Routine Operations of the MSG satellites;
• Validation and maintenance of operations procedures;
• Preparation and execution of SVTs, commissioning in orbit satellite operations;
• Satellite Operations Engineer on-call service;
• Support for the maintenance of the MSG series Flight Operation Manuals;
• Analysis and investigation of operational events and anomalies;
• Participation in the preparation and specification of system updates;
• Preparation and maintenance of the MSG-3 TM/TC/Display/Event databases.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications, knowledge and experience:

• University degree or equivalent in a related discipline;
• Geostationary satellite operations in general, ideally MSG and/or MOP/MTP;
• Routine spacecraft operations in general;
• Operations preparation of a satellite project;
• Satellite Assembly Integration and Testing;
• Use of MS Access and maintenance of satellite databases;
• Able to work calmly and correctly under stress;
• Fluency in English is mandatory, some knowledge of French would be an asset.
