Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working on-site as a member of the Operations Preparation Integrated Team. Tasks will include:

• Definition and preparation of the operations of the MTG system, in particular for the satellite real time M&C and the satellite data analysis tools;
• Support the satellite simulator procurement;
• Preparation and provision of training on Spacecraft and Ground Stations Operations;
• Preparation and validation of procedures for S/c and ground segment operations;
• Operational System Validation e.g. SVT between the satellite on ground;
• Reporting, analysis and investigation of operational events and anomalies;
• Support the preparation/review of the system and operations documentation.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications, knowledge and experience:

• University degree or equivalent in a related discipline;
• Satellite Monitoring and Control, ideally based on SCOS-2000;
• Geostationary spacecraft preparation and routine operations,
• Satellite simulator (ideally based on REFA, SÍMSAT), operations training;
• ECSS TM/TC standard including PUS as well as the SLE protocol;
• Ground segment systems and operations associated with an imaging satellite;
• 3-axis stabilised geostationary satellite operations, ground stations operations;
• Fluency in English is mandatory, some knowledge of French would be an asset.
