Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working on-site as a member of the Operations Preparation Integrated Team. Tasks will include:

• Support the Operations Preparation and Routine Operations of the MSG satellites;
• Support the MSG systems in operation, in particular M&C and mission facilities;
• Satellite operations support and validation of operations procedures;
• MSG spacecraft ground System Validation Test(s) SVT preparation and execution;
• Maintenance of the MSG series Flight Operation Manuals;
• Analysis and investigation of operational events and anomalies;
• Support the control system and satellite simulator maintenance;
• Support the enhancement and maintenance of the MSG Mission Planning System.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications, knowledge and experience:

• University degree or equivalent in a related discipline;
• Satellite mission M&C facilities and ground facilities for imaging satellites;
• Geostationary satellite operations in general, ideally MSG and/or MOP/MTP;
• Routine spacecraft operations in general;
• Operations preparation of a satellite project;
• Able to work calmly and correctly under stress;
• Fluency in English is mandatory, some knowledge of French would be an asset.
