Activities

Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the area of space transportation systems. You will be working on-site as a Configuration Manager within the Industrial Operator Team of Columbus, the European module of the International Space Station. You will be responsible for the following activities:

• Configuration Control of documents including change management of documents, maintenance of an engineering database, definition of configuration baselines, consultation with project engineers regarding Configuration Management (CM) processes and structures within projects
• Lead CM meetings with the engineering team and with customers
• Process contract change notes and maintain the change management system
• Create technical lists like “Customer Identification List” &“As Built Configuration List”
• Support CM of suppliers regarding quality standards
• Improve the CM system

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree in engineering
• Experience in configuration management
• Ability to analyse processes and identify areas for improvement
• Knowledge of SAP and Excel
• Flexibility and high motivation to work in configuration management
• Fluency in English and German is mandatory
