Do you want to be part of the space future? As support to a European space organisation we are looking for Spacecraft Operations Engineer (Cluster)

Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing satellite operations and ground station tracking network services to its users. You will be working on-site as a member of the Operations Team. Tasks will include:

  • Engineering support to routine and contingency situation spacecraft operations
  • Prepare and support operations during eclipse seasons
  • Support the transition to a new mission planning system
  • Monitoring spacecraft subsystem and instrument performance and health
  • Anomaly investigation, tracking & follow-up
  • Special operations, in flight testing, compilation of the weekly operations report
  • Maintain the relevant procedures of the Flight Operations Plan.

Skills

You should ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

  • University degree or equivalent in aerospace, electronics or physics
  • Spacecraft systems in particular power systems
  • Spacecraft operations and mission planning systems
  • ESOC environment mission control and automated procedures of Cluster
  • Familiarity with PC based MS Office tools
  • Knowledge of ECSS and CCSDS standards
  • Able to work independently and good communication skills
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
