Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working on-site as a member of the Maintenance and Engineering Division Team. Tasks will include:

• Maintenance of a complete and consistent set of Interface Control Documents for the operational ground systems;
• Technical analysis of system architecture and specification evolutions;
• Define system testing approach for evolutions of the operational ground systems;
• Projects and associated reviews providing Interfaces Engineering support during the design phase and contribute to the definition of the IV&V activities;
• Perform analysis, investigations and resolution of system level anomalies;
• Definition of the IV&V approach for the future ground systems.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and several years experience including:

• University degree or equivalent in a related discipline;
• Several years experience in complex operational ground systems, preferably EO;
• System Engineering / AIT of ground systems for 24/7 operation;
• Satellite monitoring and control systems and near-real-time data processing;
• Full development cycle of large systems; System architectural design tools (e.g. Enterprise Architect); Requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS);
• Software engineering; Configuration Control processes and tools; ECSS standards;
• Fluency in English is mandatory, some knowledge of French would be an asset.
