As support to a European space company we are looking for a Lead System Engineer in electronics equipments development
Activities
Our customer is a European system house, specialised in development and implementation of solutions for aerospace. You will be working on-site, responsible for:
- Systems engineering of electrical subsystems of satellites platforms, instruments, avionics systems, etc.
- Deriving from satellite mission requirements the subsequent power and data handling subsystems requirements, trade off analysis of critical dimensioning parameters. Preparation of subsystem and equipment specifications
- Requirements/architecture analysis at electronic function & electronics board level
- Analysis of compatibility of electrical interfaces between the different subsystem equipments, sensors, actuators, etc. EMC analysis at system and subsystem level.
- Requirements Specifications for the subcontracting of subsystems, equipments, electronic modules, electrical ground support equipments, on board software, etc.
- Definition of verification strategy for subsystems and equipments. Definition of Test Equipment architecture
- Preparation of technical proposals answering customer specifications. Defining engineering resources needed and planning for design and development.
- Technical lead of engineers in close cooperation with the project manager
Skills
You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:
- University degree in Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
- Good knowledge on design methodologies for space application (design documentation, design analysis, etc.) and tools (e.g. PSpice, MathCad, Matlab, etc.). Knowledge in CAE DxDatabook / Mentor will be appreciated. Sound mathematical basis for its application to the electronics design analysis (worst case analysis, control loops and stability analysis, etc).
- Profound experience in technical management of electronic equipments and systems in space programs, avionics for defense and aeronautics, will be welcome
- Experience in Data Handling Systems for space programs, Power Systems, AOCS Systems, Thermal Control Systems
- Good knowledge of general specifications at system level for general electrical requirements, EMC requirements, mechanical and thermal interfaces and requirements, radiation environment, etc.
- You are rigorous, flexible, systematic and able to work under pressure
- Fluency in English and German is mandatory
Starting date: March 2011 or as soon as possible thereafter
