Job Description

As support to a European space organisation we are looking for a Programmes Scheduler for GEO

Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working on-site as a member of the GEO Project Planning and Control (PPC) Team. Activities will include:

  • Establish, monitor and control the GEO Programmes Schedules
  • Elaborate and maintain multi-layered programme schedules
  • Generate and analyse programme performance indicators as well as periodic scheduling status reports
  • Prepare and contribute to regular programme meetings
  • Assist programme team leaders in establishing, monitoring and controlling individual plans and schedules as well as related programme resource envelopes
  • Liaise with the corresponding Planning Officer in the Operations Department
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of GEO PPC working practices and procedures, including related guidelines, checklists, templates and indicators.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

  • University degree in management, engineering or equivalent
  • Professional experience in project planning, scheduling, monitoring and controlling as well as in planning and monitoring of allocated resources
  • Knowledge and experience with space project management (e.g. according to ECSS) and project scheduling concepts and techniques
  • Experience with MS Project or equivalent (e.g. Primavera), as well as MS Office (Word, Excel and Access)
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; French would be an asset
  • Ability to work independently and good communication skills
