As support to a European space organisation we are looking for an Instrument Team Management Support
Activities
The holder of the post reports directly to the Low Earth Orbit Instrument Team Leader to assist in following tasks or areas:
- Participation in instrument and satellite reviews (e.g. Flight Acceptance Reviews)
- Instrument related storage and/or de-storage activities as well as reactivation and recalibration campaigns
- Preparation of launch campaigns, Launch and Early Orbit Phase activities and satellite commissioning
- Generation and maintenance of instrument related documents
- Monitoring of deliverables
- Maintenance of a database and of an instrument issues tracker
- Preparation and maintenance of presentation material related to instruments
- Control of the baseline definition of each instrument
- Tracking of actions on instrument related issues
- Drafting of correspondence
- Participation in meetings with partner agencies, contractors, etc. as appropriate
Skills
You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:
- University degree in science, engineering or equivalent
- Several years of professional experience in space hardware projects and project management, preferably in the area of remote sensing instruments
- Good knowledge of quality assurance processes and procedures and international operations coordination
- Experience with MS Office
- Fluency in English is mandatory; French would be an asset
- Good organisational and communication skills as well as ability to work independently
