As support to a European space company we are looking for a Quality Engineer for AIT

Activities

You will be part of a team of experts in the competence centre of a leading European company in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the areas of space transportation and satellites. As a Quality Engineer you will be responsible for the following activities:

• Supporting the PA activities in the project In- Orbit Validation (IOV) for the AIT
• Creating Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), organising and participating in Non- Conformance Review Boards
• Creating relevant Product Assurance (PA) documents
• Performing incoming inspection on special equipment
• Supporting packaging of AVS S/S and Equipment
• Creating, reviewing and approving PA documents
• Reviewing and approving project documents for incorporation of PA aspects at N-2 and N-3 level
• Assessment and controlling of the supplier documentation
• Providing NCR status for monthly and progress reports
• Supporting RFD approval process
• Providing inputs to weekly and monthly PA reports

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Several years of professional experience in quality assurance and management for space activities and use of databases
• Familiarity with ESA tool NCTS and TAS-I advantageous
• Good knowledge of software testing and ESA/ECSS quality standards
• Ability to work in teams and good communication skills
• Fluency in English is mandatory; advanced German skills would be an asset
