As support to a European space company we are looking for a Systems Engineer of Thermal and Structures

Activities

Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the areas of space systems and security applications. You will be working on-site for the prestigious “Galileo” navigation satellite project. This includes the following activities:

• As part of the project team you are the interface to the thermal and structural department;
• Analysis of thermal / structure requirements;
• Analysis of requirements concerning adjustment accuracy of payload/attitude control;
• Supervision and control of numerical simulations in the relevant departments and of the development process in the structural / thermal team;
• Development and maintenance of documentation (specifications, design descriptions, ICDs, test procedures and reviews);
• Participation in project reviews;
• Support of satellite projects from proposal phase to in-orbit operations.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree in aerospace engineering or any other relevant qualification;
• Several years of professional experience in the thermal and structural field;
• Knowledge in numerical simulations (e.g. ESARAD/ESATAN);
• Customer orientation and ability to represent the project to internal and external stakeholders;
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently;
• Fluency in English is mandatory; German would be advantageous.
