As support to a European space company we are looking for a System Engineer for Satellite Propulsion Systems

Activities

Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the areas of space systems and security applications. You will be working on-site as System Engineer for Satellite Propulsion Systems, responsible for the following activities:

• Design, analyze and configure propulsion systems for satellite applications
• Handle the configuration, specifications and procurement of components for the propulsion systems (thrusters, pressure controllers, tanks, valves, etc.)
• Support the satellite projects in connection with the accommodation, integration, testing and operation of propulsion systems from the proposal phase to the final start-up
• Configure the interfaces with the satellite structure, thermal system, electronics and software
• Select and manage subcontractors and suppliers

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree in engineering with a major in space technology, process engineering, physics or comparable areas of study
• Several years of professional experience in space technology as well as in satellite technology, specifically propulsion systems, position control and orbit analysis
• Knowledge of mission analysis tools, ideally STK advantageous
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team and good communication skills
• Fluency in English is mandatory; German would be an asset
