As support to a European space company we are looking for a Cross-project MGSE and Satellite
Mechanical Devices Engineer

Activities

Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the areas of space systems and security applications. You will be working on-site as Cross-project Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) and Satellite Mechanical Devices Engineer, responsible for the following activities:

• Development of a cross project concept for all MGSE of all satellites
• Establishment of requirements and preparation of a “designer ́s manual for future designs”
• Preparation and technical expert role for all mechanical test activities, like antenna deployment test
• Preparation of electromechanical tests including test rigs and support equipment

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Several years of professional experience with mechanical ground support equipment or S/C mechanical integration as well as the design and test of MGSE
• Familiarity with preparing documentations as specifications, design handbooks, tradeoffs or interface documentations
• Knowledge of CAD construction is nice to have, but not mandatory
• Ability to work in a team, strong communication skills as well as team leading and/or training capabilities
• Fluency in English is mandatory; German would be an asset
